Kim Elliott LANCE WRITER The Lancers Women’s Basketball team defeated the Regina Cougars 66-57 Sunday to claim their third-straight CIS Championship in Saskatchewan. Windsor’s basketball team joins UBC (1971-73), Laurentian (1975-79), Victoria (1980-82) and Winnipeg (1993-95) as the only schools ever to win three straight CIS championships. John Doherty SPORTS EDITOR Matt Walters earned two medals to help the Lancers Men’s Track and Field team to a second-place finish on the weekend at the CIS Championships at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Winning the title 22 p[oints ahead of Windsor with 114 points were the Guelph Gryphons. The Lancers women’s team placed fifth, behind champions Calgary, Toronto, Guelph and Western.
